Rolex Tudor Ref 79090 Submariner in NOS(New Old Stock) conditions...

Err...has had the privilege to deal with...

Just read what Buddy Rick T posted n promised before...in VRM here.

http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1263403338/FS-+NOS+Tudor+Submariner

n just look at what he delivers to Orchi...

He does what he says to Orchi...
n he delivers what he promised to...Orchi.

ONE of the MOST beautifully kept TUDOR 79090 Submariner...
in NEW Old Stock conditions...truthfully...

The 79090 Sub is fitted with 9315T folded links Oyster bracelet...
n 386B End Links...complete with Inner/Outer Boxes...Original warranty paper...Tag...Booklet etc...
ALL in perfect conditions as NEW.

Moreover...here is the thing which Buddy Rick T had done...
that has impressed Orchi...

He packed the NOS watch package in this sturdy box...
n this BOX is then stuffed securely in another Bigger outer box...
within layers upon layers of heavy foam pads...
(unlike certain Sellers who would wrap their watches with 1 or 2 layers of Bubble-wrap n shove it in the envelop for shipping...worldwide.)

Should this FEDEX package ever fell out of the Jet plane...
n landed on Rocky Mountains...
iF found...this box n the watch package inside it...
would still be in this sturdy conditions...

Orchi.

Orchi should count blessings in January.Great Buddies.Nice Rolex watches.Year of Tiger soon..

Err...3 going on to 4 Good scores...
in the Month of January 2010 alone...
ain't so bad...afterall.

Orchi should thank Wifey n Little Orchis for being patient...
n understanding towards Orchi...for spending too much time...
away from home...n always staying online during brief stay...
n spare time at home...

Thanks also to GREAT Buddies(YOU KNOW who you are)...
for supporting Orchi with...NICE Rolex watches...
both within VRF(Thanks to VRF too) n elsewhere...
especially...to Orchi's Old faithful buddy watchmaker...
HE IS THE BEST...there is.

In the soon coming celebration for the next Chinese New Year of the TIGER...

The TIGER would say...

[linked image]?t=1264273119

1st of the 4th arrived early January...this month.

[linked image]?t=1264273208
[linked image]?t=1264273271

NOTE: Orchi was told...some of the EARLIEST 16750 case...
would NOT have "REGISTERED DESIGN" stamping between the lugs at 12 o'clock.
Notice the BIGGER fonts of "16750"...unusually on THIS watch...

Watch was seen to be mostly worn on wrist with straps...
as there is NO sign of abrasion marks between lugs...
(with NO Rust n Corrosion...absolutely)

[linked image]?t=1264273308

Another one seen to be with Un-Repolished case...
+ SLIGHT "Narrower" Crown Guards...originally.

[linked image]?t=1264273536
[linked image]?t=1264273478
[linked image]?t=1264273628
[linked image]?t=1264273653
[linked image]?t=1264273706
[linked image]?t=1264273722

NO signs of WORN OUT lugs...or Crown Guards...
just minor dings...

[linked image]?t=1264273808
[linked image]?t=1264273863
[linked image]?t=1264273906
[linked image]?t=1264273885

NO sign of Dented Teeth...or WORN OUT lug ends...
just minor scratches...
(Rarely opened up)

[linked image]?t=1264273957
[linked image]?t=1264274011

NO sign of rust or corrosion or water damage...
In FACT...the Cal.movement is seen to be untouched...
not having been serviced...before.

[linked image]?t=1264274258

Perhaps being One of the Earliest 16750 GMT Master...in the early 6mil case series...
The watch comes with a set of Near Mint n Excellent 78360/380 Oyster Links bracelet...
RARELY being worn...on wrist.

****************************************************************************

Of course this next one...a 5.608mil case series 1680 White Sub...
would need little or NO introduction...
due to the earlier episodes of having...
really WORN OUT bracelet n Worn Case lug end at 11 o'clock position...
(Now been fairly well FIXED by Orchi's faithful watchmaker)

Thanks also the the previous master watchmaker whom had worked tenderly...
on the 1680 case...with his super re-polishing...
n Cal. 1570 movement servicing skills...

The watch is now running effortlessly...
still keeping pace with Cal. 3075 movement...
of another 16750 watch...being put on the other wrist...
at the same time.

[linked image]?t=1264275098
[linked image]?t=1264275124

The 3rd of the scores...
is thought to be a RARE find...(All in 7 Colours Dial)
More details n pics about this next RARE watch...
would be posted later on...
or sooner hopefully

[linked image]?t=1264275342
[linked image]?t=1264275684

The RARE Dial mounted on the Cal. 3035 Movement...
BOTH are believed to be un-touched...
n NOT been serviced since originally...

[linked image]?t=1264275779
[linked image]?t=1264275722

Since Rolex's Patent of Oyster Case had expired...at the time...
the relevant "PATENTED" stamp on inside of casebacks like this one...
was machine off...

[linked image]?t=1264276005

Thanks to VRF buddies...for watching...
All your feedback n comments would be much appreciated...

Best regards
Orchi.

Pt. 2 Long Post: 1680 Sub - RSC did NOT accept Orchi's 1680..

Err...Sub's WORN OUT 93150/580 Oyster Links bracelet...that is.

That happened when Orchi visited RSC in the afternoon today...Jan 20...
hoping to get the worn out bracelet replaced by RSC...for a new one.

After RSC checked out the 1680 watch to be ALL GOOD...
which took about 15 minutes or so...
Orchi was informed that their inventory is out of stock...
for 93150/580 Heavy Oyster bracelet.

Instead...RSC has issued an immediate order...with Geneva...
to obtain a set Brand New 93150/580 + 2pcs of New Spring-Bars...
for Orchi's 1680 Submariner S/N. 5.60mil...

Orchi was told by the charming lady who attended to Orchi...
that the only setback is...it may take upto 1 month...
before the new bracelet would arrive...

When asked by Orchi whether the existing WORN OUT bracelet would
be required to be returned for exchange with the new replacement bracelet...or not...

The lovely lady replied..."Not required...the WORN OUT bracelet is yours...".

http://www.network54.com/Forum/207593/message/1263904667/It+was+perhaps+this+lousy+%26quot%3BBUGGER%26quot%3B+that+caused+the+worn+off+lugs+ends+of+Orchi%27s+1680--%2B%2B

She then went on to issue THIS Cash Bill for Orchi totaling about USD545...
at today's FOREX rate...(Sell Usd 1 = RM 3.35)...(Buy Usd 1 = RM3.40)

[linked image]?t=1263999038

Nevertheless...the lady explained that RSC normally would engrave...
the relevant "reference marking" inside of the backcase cover...
to reflect the job for replacement of bracelet...

So buddies...once again thanks for watching this...
n allowing Orchi to share the experience in...
the recent Long Post about Orchi's latest acquisition of
this Ref 1680 White Submariner...

http://www.network54.com/Forum/207593/thread/1263855292/Pt.+1+Long+Post-+1680+Sub+-+Orchi+attempts+brief+review+n+to+highlight+the+watchmaker%27s.%2B%2B

Here it is again...
the 1680 White Submariner...
being photographed side by side...
with another similar 5.6mil case series...
1680 White Submariner...

[linked image]?t=1263999843
[linked image]?t=1263999860
[linked image]?t=1264000154
[linked image]?t=1264000180
[linked image]?t=1264000303
[linked image]?t=1264000333
[linked image]?t=1264000357

After getting back from RSC...
Many thanks again to Orchi's faithful watchmaker...
he was able to adjust the timing of the Cal.1570 movement...
to run a wee bit faster...in order to keep pace with...
the 16750 GMT...

This was necessary because the 1680 Cal.1570 was losing 10 seconds each day...behind the 16750 Cal. 3075 movement...

[linked image]?t=1264000744
[linked image]?t=1264000763
[linked image]?t=1264000784

So hopefully in 1 months time or so...
Orchi would get to put on the 1680 White Sub...
with a New 93150/580 Heavy Oyster bracelet...

Now Buddies...
would anyone think that the cost of the...
NEW replacement 93150/580 heavy Oyster bracelet...is costly?

[linked image]?t=1264001384

Thanks for generous feedbacks n comments...again.
